5 Hours - In this intermediate-level course, participants will learn about the mechanisms of fluid transfer between the blood capillaries, tissues and lymph capillaries. In addition, the function of the lymphatic system and its role in fluid homeostasis, as well as the different forms of insufficiencies of the lymphatic system.
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Describe the basics of fluid transfer between the blood capillaries, tissues and lymph capillaries
- Explain the function of the lymphatic system and its role in FLUID HOMEOSTASIS
- Identify the different forms of insufficiencies of the lymphatic system
- Describe the role of Complete Decongestive Therapy in cases of Edema and Lymphedema
